About Us

In 2007, the ASEAN Charter set out to establish regional human rights bodies, leading to the creation of AICHR, ACWC, and ACMW. Despite these mechanisms, human rights standards remain low in Southeast Asian countries. SEAPIL, the Southeast Asia Public Interest Lawyers network, aims to address these challenges and promote access to justice, working alongside ASEAN and civil society to strengthen the rule of law.
